Assessment

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Process Enquiry & Information: Candidate contacts Otraco Training Centre for RPL details and receives an RPL Self-Assessment form.

Self-Assessment & Submission: Candidate completes the self-assessment, identifies relevant units, and submits it along with their CV and certified qualifications.

Review & Discussion: The Training Centre assesses the submission, discussing work experience, self-assessment responses, evidence, and third-party references.

Suitability Decision: If suitable, the candidate receives the RPL Assessment Tool and Third-Party Report. If not, formal training options are provided.

Guidance & Workplace Observations: Assessor explains the RPL process, arranges workplace observations (if applicable), and ensures access to necessary resources.

Assessment Process: Includes workplace observations, verbal questioning, and ongoing support.

Submission & Evaluation: Candidate submits their RPL Assessment Tool and evidence portfolio. Assessor reviews third-party reports and contacts referees for verification.

Outcome & Record Keeping: Assessor finalises and communicates the outcome, summarizing results and forwarding all documentation for record-keeping.

Entry Requirements

The RPL model used by Otraco International is a guided and supported process that relies on the candidate’s ability to demonstrate their competence by answering verbal questions from an assessor, providing referees, evidence and having their practical skills assessed in the workplace.

Delivery Method

This qualification is delivered for individuals who perform various tyre-related tasks within the automotive retail, commercial, and mining industries. The course will be delivered through a combination of classroom instruction, self-directed learning via correspondence, and active learning experiences. Practical demonstrations and tasks will be used to reinforce key concepts of their previous skills. Participants will also receive continuous feedback to support their development and ensure they meet industry standards.
